Actuator
Valve Actuator
Introduction
The actuator operates the valve to determine the opening degree, and controls temperature by supplying or blocking coolant to the battery and PE side.
Core Competencies
- BLDC motor-based controller integrated
- Designed to enable LIN and CAN communication, it receives commands from EMS to control the valve and transmit its position and status.
- Performs open loop control.
- Fail-safe function against external factors such as ice, dust, and rocks
- Protection functions due to overvoltage, low voltage, high temperature, overcurrent (step-out, stall), reverse voltage, disconnection, and short circuit
- A watchdog function is included to monitor malfunction of the MCU in case of problems such as ESD or external clock input.
Application
Car valve driving
Aerodynamic Control Actuator
Introduction
This is a system controlled by installing a flap that can be opened and closed between the radiator grill and the radiator. It receives commands from EMS and closes the flaps when driving at high speeds, thereby reducing the vehicle’s air resistance and improving fuel efficiency. Additionally, when the temperature inside the engine room rises and there is a risk of parts overheating, the flap opens to lower the temperature inside the engine room.
